Ligitan Island

Sipadan island

On June 28th 2003, Pos Malaysia issued a new set of stamps, entitled "Islands and Beaches of Malaysia Series II", where Pulau Sipadan and Pulau Ligitan were introduced. the word Pulau means "island" in Malay for those who are unfamliar with the Malay language.

The 30 sen stamps depict the Ligitan island while the 50 sen stamps illustrate the Sipadan island. There is also a miniuature sheet issued and i will share it in another post later. Here I would only share with you the stamp sheets that hold 20 pieces of stamps of each island.

British Hondurass King George VI Stamps Sheet

Britsh Honduras was a British Colony that is now the independent nation called Belize. It was 1st ruled by Spaniards and became British Crown Colony from 1862-1964, when it became it self governing. It 1981 it was granted independence from UK and was called Belize.

I bought this stamp sheet also in Leicester, few weeks prior to my return to Malaysia. I hope someone can shed some light on when it was issued to me.

PS: I believe it to be 1938 but am not certain.

King George VI Antigua Half Dollar Stamps Sheet

I bought this sheet of mint unhinged stamp sheet of Antigua half dollar stamps when i was still in Leicester UK last year.

I have no idea when it was issued. Can anyone from the philatelly world englighten me on this?

Malaysia Local Market Stamps FDC

Malaysia local market first day cover issued on 23rd March 2010. In this issue, 4 stamps were issued. 2 20cents and 2 50 cents stamps were issued while 2 minisheets were also released. I will upload the minisheet in a follow up posting. Do wait for it.
